Getting started with Nexus
ESN Nexus, made by ESN Systems. Updated November 2, 2026.
Everything you need to set Nexus up and keep it working well. Still stuck? Ask in the ESN Support Discord.
1. Add Nexus to your server
Add Nexus and keep every permission ticked. Nexus needs them to stop raids, undo damage and moderate. After it joins, drag the ESN NEXUS role as high as you can in Server Settings → Roles: Nexus can only act on members and roles below its own role.
2. Run the setup
Type /guardian setup. Pick a preset (small community, large public server or max lockdown) or answer four quick questions. Nexus turns on the right protection, makes a log channel and checks its own permissions.
3. Fix missing permissions
If Nexus says it is missing permissions, use the Fix permissions (1 click) button it shows, or re-add it with the link above. You will not lose any settings. The most important ones are Kick Members, Ban Members, Manage Roles, Manage Channels, Manage Server, View Audit Log, Manage Messages, Manage Webhooks and Timeout Members.
4. Turn on verification (optional)
Use /config verification to post a verify panel. New members press Verify (with a short human check if you enable it) before they can see the rest of the server. This stops most bot raids before they start.
5. Logs
Use /config logs to choose where Nexus posts security and moderation logs. Every action Nexus takes is written there with the reason, so your staff always know what happened.
6. Trusted staff
Add your admins and co-owners as trusted users in the anti-nuke settings (/antinuke). Trusted staff and the server owner are never punished by Nexus's automatic protection.
Useful commands
/help: browse every command, grouped by category./server status: Nexus's uptime, how many servers it protects and its version./raid: raid shield settings and live raid status./mod: warn, timeout, kick, ban, cases and notes./ticket open: open a support ticket in servers that use tickets.
The full, live list is on the commands section of the home page.
What happens in a raid?
When lots of accounts join at once, Nexus treats it as a raid. Brand-new accounts (younger than 7 days) in the burst are removed, older accounts are left alone, and staff, owners and whitelisted users are never touched. Your log channel gets a summary.
Premium
All protection features are included for every server. Premium only changes Nexus's look in your server (custom name, avatar, banner and bio) for $1.99/month or $19.90/year, bought per server in the dashboard.
